Synopsis Edit

After a grand ceremony celebrating the retirement of the last of the London trams, it turns out that there is still one at large. Tram Inspector Seagoon tracks it to the Kingsway tram tunnel and desperately tries to persuade driver Henry Crun to bring it back to the yard.

Background Edit

The London tram (light-rail) system was shut down in 1952 to be replaced by buses, with most of the tram cars being scrapped. Some parts of the former tram system were absorbed by new housing developments, although the Kingsway tunnel itself remained in existence long afterward. Trams eventually returned to the streets of London in 2000.

This episode was adapted for Telegoons as "The Last Tram".
